Cabinet Designer & Selections Consultant

Support position for our sales team, walking clients thru selections and design for cabinetry and other interiors/exterior finishes for custom new home and renovation projects, guiding them based on their tastes, personality, and budget. Includes completing cabinet designs in 2020 and submitting orders to cabinet manufacturer.

Responsibilities:
Provide consultation and guidance to custom new home and remodel clients on their selections for:
o exterior finishes
o interior trim and doors
o paint colors
o tile color and design
o flooring
o appliances
o cabinets (including design, function, layout, color, and style)
o tops
o plumbing fixtures
o electrical fixtures (including electrical layout)
o closet design
• Document client selections using company processes.
• Complete cabinet designs in 2020 Design software (or Chief Architect)
• Prepare and submit cabinet orders to Wellborn Cabinetry.
• Provide consultation to other departments as needed on cabinetry and selections questions
• Give clients a FUN and enjoyable design experience!
• Meet set sales volume and margin quotas
• Work in a team environment, utilizing resources within the team to close sales. This includes working with the estimator, sales and design team, production manager, and lead
carpenters.
• Work within set company processes

Requirements: Experience
• Advanced knowledge and expertise in interior finishes
• Proficient in using 2020 Design Software
• Have an eye for color and design
• Preferred but not required:
o Experience using Chief Architect design software
o Experience working with Wellborn cabinetry
o Interior design training and/or experience

Requirements: Soft Skills
• Exceptional ability to work well with clients, working with them on a process that likely involves “once in a lifetime” decisions.
• Must be a genuine team player, able to juggle multiple priorities and work well under pressure.
• Must be a good listener.
• Competent in using Microsoft software and desire to learn new technology as needed.

Salary: Based on experience.

Sales – Residential Remodeling & Custom New Homes:
Salesperson to lead clients thru the project development process including design, selections, and educating the client throughout the process, and working with their tastes, style, and budget.

Responsibilities:
• Convert sales leads to design contracts, then construction contracts
• Give clients a FUN and enjoyable design experience!
• Meet set sales volume and margin quotas
• Work in a team environment, utilizing resources within the team to close sales. This includes working with the estimator, interior design specialist, architect, production manager,
and other salespersons.
• Work within set company processes
• Guide the design phase and ensure it meets the needs and goals of the client
• Prepare the selections spreadsheet for the selections meetings and ensure it is complete and accurate
• Write construction contracts
• Effectively communicate all pertinent information about a client’s project to the Production Team for a successful build.

Requirements: Experience
• In-depth knowledge and experience with residential remodeling including:
o Recognize and identify structural elements and utilities in an existing home that will be impacted by the remodeling
o Experience working with the “unknowns” behind the walls
o Familiarity with the costs of residential construction (costs of materials, labor required, etc)
o Firm grasp of the residential construction processes
o Reading and understanding blueprints
o Note: Only candidates that meet the criteria above will be considered.
• Construction field experience preferred.
• Sales experience preferred but willing to train the right candidate.
• Site experience related to building new homes preferred but not required (I.E. house location, zoning requirements, environmental health requirements, etc.).

Skilled Carpenter

Skilled Carpenter to complete interior trim, cabinet installations, demo, light framing, and other construction tasks for custom residential construction projects.  This position also assists the Lead Carpenter in supervising custom new homes and remodeling projects and does require some Jobsite management skills.  Must have a good driving record, strong work ethic, ability to work well with others in a team environment, and a desire to learn and advance.  Salary:  $20 to $27 based on demonstrated skills and experience.  Full benefits package including a company vehicle, tools, vacation & holiday pay, health and dental insurance, and retirement plan.
